Dear Ellen,

You may not have noticed but yesterday while visiting Florida and seeing a huge range of Deland products for sale at the Whole Foods in Coral Springs, I see that Deland now reports on every label, above the list of individual ingredients:

"Contains Gluten, Wheat or Yeast"

On every label of every product!

No apologies about trace amounts or anything to that effect. Just a simple statement that those things are found in these products. And then in the indvidual ingredient lists on each product, those items are not included in the list.

So, I think all the talk on this site plus my calling the FDA months ago has resulted in Deland disclosing a bit more of the truth about how they manufacture these products that to everyone seem too good to be true.

It's a shame that some people have become ill as a result of Deland's insensitivity or outright deception in what they're doing.

Please post something to this effect on your millet bread site which no longer seems to be inviting new postings.

When I looked at the site last night after not visiting it for quite a while, in my cursory glance through, I didn't notice anyone reporting this newer change to their label

"Contains gluten, wheat or yeast."

BUYER BEWARE!!!!

Dear Ellen,

On 12/27/05 I wanted to post a new message on the millet bread website but I couldn't find an option for posting it. So, I sent it via the Cook Talk site, just as I am sending this one.

Is it no longer possible to post new messages on the millet bread thread site?

This is the message I wanted to post:
