Hi!

I am trying to plan a meal for our wedding reception. We've got the meat figured out (Pulled pork and Shredded Chicken) but I am trying to figure out how many veggies and fruit to buy.

We are looking for broccoli, cauliflower, bell peppers, cucumbers, mini tomatoes, and mini carrots. Also grapes, pineapple, watermelon, cantaloupe and strawberries.
We will be cutting everything ourselves.

And we're looking to see about how many pounds of potato chips, baked beans, potato salad and macaroni salad.

Any help would be great!!

Thank you soo much!

Kiaya, for the fruit and veggie trays, read the related articles on this site, make some estimates and post them and I will be glad to check for you. Amounts, time estimates, etc, are discussed.

The salads I do by sometimes weights and sometimes measures. Here is a sample:

potato chips, 1 pound per 10-12, depends on whether they are chip eaters. 1 pint salsa or dip per pound.
baked beans, 4 #10 cans per 100
potato salad, 4 gallons (about 40 pounds potatoes to start) per 100
macaroni salad, 6 pounds dry pasta per 100. Recipes on site. Please read the advice on staff needed for this size party and need for an appetizer plan on some of the other threads.

You can write back.
