We are preparing a meal for our local homeless shelter/soup kitchen. We have decided to make chicken and noodles over mashed potatoes and have been told to prepare for 200 people. I'm planning to use dried noodles and chicken breast. How many pounds of raw chicken and how many pounds of dried noodles should we need? I can figure out the rest of the ingredients based on that. It has been suggested to get 50 pounds of potatoes to mash. Is that a reasonable amount? |

I forgot to say that this is 2 days away and I have to shop tomorrow! Hoping I get a reply before tomorrow afternoon. It's hard to find good info and I did not expect it to be!! |

I would do at least 65 pounds of potatoes for 200. 16 pounds dried noodles. 40-50 pounds boneless chicken; boneless thigh for part, they are juicier and less expensive than breasts. at least 20 quarts of gravy, more would be ok. |
