hi ellen i'm hosting a valentine event of 200 people how much lbs beef i need to buy and the best reasonable cut of beef this is menu. roast beef, fish, chicken legs back attach, also coleslaw and tossed salad with soup and dessert this is a buffet style dinner |

Sandy, in a large event like this, pro caterers usually figure 5 ounces ready to eat beef and 3 ounces of second choice per person for buffet service, since people tend to take more, and some of each, when there are several choices. If it is plated, the numbers are different. Also, is there no potato/rice and no bread planned with this meal? Please write back with more information. |
