My son's wedding reception is Friday. My husband and I are in charge of it. Since our son likes pie and doesn't like cake, we are having a mini-pie bar for his "Groom's cake". We will have a table with mini pie crusts, apple pie filling(in a crockpot), cherry pie (in a crockpot) filling, and pumpkin mousse (in decorator bags). Any ideas for toppings to serve beside this? I've thought of spray whipped topping, oatmeal, mini-chocolate chips, graham cracker crumbs, coconut, chopped pecans. Do any of these not sound good? Can you think of any other toppings? |

Get real spray whipped cream. Consider slivered almonds for the cherry pie. Use granola instead of plain oatmeal- more flavor and crunch. Consider vanilla ice cream. as it would be delicious with the hot fillings and prompt some fruity sundaes... |
