Chips and guacamole

We are having a wedding for about 170 people. We are having it catered, but are doing the appetizers ourself. How much chips, guacamole and salsa will I need for 160 people for a 1 hour cocktail hour? We will also put out pretzels, nuts etc.

People do love guacamole.

If this is the only edible, allow 1 pound chips per 12 and 1 pint dip or salsa per pound. Guac/salsa split depends on the budget, but 7-8 pints guac would not be too much. There are some wonderful salsas; corn and black bean, mango, etc.
