birthday surprise party
Angel 01/15/15	I'm planning a surprise party for my husband on his 40th birthday & wanted to do some of his favorite foods. How are the amounts below for dinner time party for about 20 people? Also, thoughts on menu?Thanks so much! Mini Reubens - 40 Broccoli cheese bites - 40 Deviled eggs - 36 Ham -15lbs Rice - 5 cups before cooked Cole slaw- not sure how much? Loaded mashed potatoes - 15lbs potatoes? Oatmeal raisin cookies - 40 3 cherry cheesecakes Thanks for the help!
Angel 01/15/15	I thought about doing something with steak as well to have another meat but not sure what would be best for 20 people. Any help would be appreciated!
ellen 01/16/15	You have plenty of food without the steak! I am suggesting tweaks on amounts. You will still have leftovers. Mini Reubens - 40- plenty Broccoli cheese bites - 40- plenty Deviled eggs - 36- only need 2 dozen eggs Ham -15 lbs- 10 pounds plenty Rice - 5 cups before cooked- ok Cole slaw- not sure how much? 3 quarts to 1 gallon Loaded mashed potatoes - 15lbs potatoes? with rice, 8-10 plenty I would add a colorful veg- 5 pounds- fiesta corn casserole, broiled tomato halves, California medley, mixed roasted veg, etc Oatmeal raisin cookies - 40- plenty 3 cherry cheesecakes- plenty If this saves you time, trouble, or money, please make a donation, maybe a dime or quarter per quest, to support this site.
