I just purchased GE ceramic cooktop and have been struggling with several things. (1) cleaning is a nightmare and (2) what type of griddle I can use on with the bridge feature. I originally used the one I've had for years not knowing the dangers .. it's not flat but concaved on the bottom so nothing touches the burners. So I went out to find a new griddle for ceramic cooktops and have been unable to find one. If possible, please proivde specific brands that others have sucessfully used. Last, I was unaware of the need to buy new pans when I purchased my stove and am now afraid that what I have is not good for it. I have Farberware classic and it seems to work fine but want to make sure ... how do I know?? |

Ah. yes, we have dozens of similar comments in the ceramic cooktop archives. There are lots of tested cleaning ideas there too. You can use a pan or griddle if it is PERFECTLY flat when heated- no ridges or circles and does not warp or bow out when it gets hot. |

I purchased a Circulon Classic Nonstick Double Burner Griddle for my ceramic top stove two years ago and am very happy with it. It has a flat bottom and works fine with the double burners and bridge element on my stove. I just ordered a flat bottom square grill pan from Look Cookware and can't wait to use it. It was VERY hard to find a flat bottom grill pan and I was thrilled when I discovered this one. |

I have a new black ceramic cooktop. I boiled a pot of beans over!! I tried to rub this clean with a tea-towel after trying to clean it with vinigar & bi-carb. Now I have a milky look in the centre. Can you please help???? thank you |

Get the actual polish for starters and hope for the best. These water stains can be a real problem. |
