Convection ovens & dual element baking

I must replace my electric range and would like to get a convection oven. However, I am confused between "dual element baking" and "convection". Are these the same? My problem is I want coil burners but it seems most convection ovens come with glass stove tops. Frigidaire and GE has some electric coil stove tops with ovens that are often described as having convection on some websites, other sites say "no convection" when discussing the same model number. The manufacturers' descriptions state "dual element baking." Help.

Convection ovens & dual element baking
Susan, I"m looking for the same thing and have noticed the very same. Sears tried to tell me that no such thing existed as a coil top range with convection oven yet a search on Google and Eopinions did show a few from GE and Maytag.

In the "details" some say convection and others say Accubake, True Temp or Precision cooking. I don't know if that is another term for convection or not.

Convection ovens & dual element baking
Convection ovens have a fan that moves the hot air through the oven. Dual elements have top and bottom heat. Both are intended to give better, more even but they are not the same. Convection ovens cook faster and dryer, and require abit more learning/ adaptation. I am not familiar with the other terms.

Take a look at Kitchenaid.
