I have a black jenn-air smoothtop cooktop. I have never had a problem cleaning it but the other day I had a pasta water boil over and some of the pasta water got on the glass cooktop. I cleaned it as I usually do with the cooktop cleaner after it was cooled but when I buffed it dry I noticed a gray stain on the edge of the burner that almost looks like it is under the glass. I was told it might be a water spot and we do have well water. Any idea's on how to remove this stain? Would vinegar work to loosen the stain so I could remove with the cooktop cream. Thanks, |

I have a black Jenn-air smoothtop cooktop. I have never had a problem cleaning anything off the top but the other day I was boiling some pasta water and some of it boiled over and got on the glass. I cleaned the cooktop as I usually do with the cleaner after it had cooled but when I buffed it dry I noticed a gray stain that almost looks like it is under the glass. I was told it may be a water spot and we do have well water. Would vinegar rubbed on the stain lift it so I could scrub with the cleaner or has anyone else run across this problem and found a solution. The cooktop cleaner did get some of the stain off but I took a lot of elbow grease. |
