I am cooking 2 pasta dishes for 100 people - 30 children and 70 adults. I plan to do baked ziti and chicken alfredo as well as Caesar salad and garlic bread. Any help with the amount to buy would be wonderful! Thanks. |

Depends on the age of the children, but if you start with 20 pounds dry pasta you will have plenty. I figure 1 quart sauce, 1/2 to 1 pound cheese and 1/2 to 1 pound meat or meatballs per pound of pasta. The split depends on your crowd's preference, usually tends red.
