I am boiling red potatoes for 70 people. How many lbs can you cook in a turkey deep fryer or crab cooker about 30 qt size? |

It is safer to boil several smaller pans and the potatoes cook more evenly. In fact, you can oven roast red potatoes for a MUCH easier prep. You are looking at 25-30 pounds potatoes. See: www.mccormick.com/Recipes/Salads-Sides/Garlic-and-Herb-Roasted-Potatoes If you do boil, fill pot 1/2 full with water and bring to a full boil before adding potatoes, plan to do 2 batches. |
