Hello Ellen, I am hosting an event for 600 and plan on serving cake and fruit, buffet style. I plan to buy 48 lbs strawberries, 90 lbs green grapes, 90 lbs red grapes and 42 lbs blueberries. Does that sound about right? Thank you, Kristi |

What time of day,how long will you be serving, and will there be any other food or beverages? Writeback. |

Also, is it out of the question to have melon pieces? |

This is an evening celebration; 6:30-8:30 reception style. There will only be cake, fruit, and juice & water offered. |

Melon is not out of the question, but I am trying to avoid as much cutting as possible. |

OK. This is a lot of fruit. I would suggest cherries instead of blueberries for finger fruit. I would plan at most 150 pounds fruit, that is a half cup or more per person. |

If you want to go a little up scale, consider, fresh or dried dates, figs, apricots, dried pear or mango bites |

Wonderful! I love the idea of cherries . Thank you for your advice! |

Would apricots be better served whole or cut in half? |
