we are planning a going away reception for one of our ministers...we are going to do a mix of full sheet cakes and cookies - hopefully heavier on the homemade cookies to save money. If we are expecting 300, and I plan on 2 full sheet cakes, I want to make sure I am planning on the cookies right. the two sheet cakes should feed 70 each or 140 - is that right? for the cookies, would I then subtract 140 from 300 - 160 them multiply by 3... so 40 dozen cookies? that seems really high.. |

That is a minimum. I usually allow 4 cookies per person and ask the bakers to make the cookies and bars smallish- 2-4 bites. |
