I am helping with a charity event and my job is to prepare a mashed potato bar for 300. Can you give me any ideas on how to pull this off the easiest way and any suggestions of making this work. I have done this for a dinner party but nothing on this scale. Thanks for any help or ideas! |

Yes, the taco/potato bar can help with all the topping amounts, but warning, these are SLOW moving lines and you will need 6 double sided serving lines for good service! You can do plain/buttery, garlic cheese and mashed sweet potatoes, adding cinnamon butter to the toppings. |

Is there an easy way to prepare the potatoes or is there any chance that an instant potato would work - I have never made them, but I know many restaurants use them. |

Suggest you look at the freezable, holdable mashed potatoes on the big pots page, and do a great deal of them ahead. Yukon golds make wonderful looking, or any baking type potato. |
