Hello! I am having a party for about 50 people and I am serving beef sandwiches. I am going to serve mostaccioli as a side (along with a veggie casserole dish and a chopped salad). How much pasta and sauce do I need to get? thanks for the input! |

About 6 pounds, vary accordi8ng to appetite, and about 1 quart sauce per pound. 1/2 to 1 pound per pound of pasta, if you do cheese |

Hi, We are making mostacioli with a meat sauce for 50 people, 30 men from a MCREST group for the homeless along with 20 volunteers both men and women. We are having a side salad and dessert. Can you please suggest an amount for the pasta and hamburger? Thank u |

These are hungry folk. To allow for large portions/seconds, I would make for about 2/3 of 100, 60 people: For generous servings of 2 cups per person, prepare:
11 pounds of dry spaghetti- each pound makes about a 9x13 pan 2 pounds of hamburger for each 3 quarts of sauce. Good work. |

Christine, if you check the spaghetti page (link at he top of the main cook talk page), you can use double the amounts in the dinner for 50-60 at the bottom of the article, or the recipe for mostaciolli for 120 on that same page. |
