Hi, I am new to ceramic cooktop. I just rented a condo and this unit has a ceramic cooktop (kenmore). I don't know that which pot I can use. I bought a stir-fry pan and it have many rings in the bottom, could it be used? I used it twice already, and the pan left some "ring marks" on the glass. Also, it left some grey marks on it too. I bought some cleaner and it does remove the "ring marks" and some of the grey marks, but not all. I am so nervous. I just afraid that there would be a huge amount of deposit deducted because of the marks on the cooktop. How much would it cost to replace the glass? And should I avoid using that pan? Is there any solution to remove the marks? Thanks. |

$2-300 to replace- probably cheaper to take the discount, if any. Flat bottom only, no rings or ridges. |

Thanks. My pot is new, and I really love that pot. The pot has rings in its bottom, i think I need to find another now. Is there any way to remove the marks? I tried the cream, but couldn't remove all...My cooktop did not provide the blade, would it work using the blad? |

Hi! I think I can offer a solution to your problem. I had a terrible time with spots and marks on my new ceramic top until I found something that works. First, get a sponge with the scrubber on it. Flooding the spot with water and a little baking soda and letting it sit a few minutes gets most of it off with the gentle scrubber. Make sure to rinse well and dry. For tough marks get Maas Metal Polishing Creme. I put a drop on a cotton ball and gently rub and if that doesn't work try with the scrubber. Go to their web site and read about it. They have a cooktop cleaner which I haven't tried yet, but I will. Try the metal creme. I think its fantastic. Hope this helps. I like it so well I could do a commercial for it. I thought my cooktop was ruined until I found it. I think it has jewelers rouge in it. |
