what type of pork cut is best for a smoker? we are having a garden wedding and our cousin is smoking our meats. He is a great cook but we are doing the shopping and I want to get him the best cut possible for the smoker.

Here are some smoker links with lots of experience. I recommend pork shoulder, they explain why.

It shrinks a lot. Allow at least 1 pound bone in per 2, or even 2 pounds for 3.

By the way, be sure to have a crockpot of vegetarian sausages for any non meat eaters. My favorite brand is Field Roast.
