Spanish rice for 500

07/27/16 		I'm making Spanish rice for a benefit and I need enough to serve 500 plates. About how much rice fits into 1 disposable large roaster pan? Also about how many disposable large roaster pans do I need to serve 500 plates?

08/01/16 		Several different sizes disposable roaster pans. You need 500 cups cooked rice to serve 500 plates. 1 pound of raw rice, just over 2 cups, makes about 5-6 cups of cooked rice, depending on the type of rice, so you need 80- 84 pounds.

The pots and pans pages in the pantry tells how much different pans hold, so you will be able to figure how many pans. You might consider whether to rent rice steamers.

10/26/17 		About 40 for side serving, up to 70-80 for really big entree servings.
