Hi Ellen, Hope all is well with the family.
Doing a 1:00 PM 90th birthday party (right now I am saying 200 guests but can adjust as needed closer to event) for a dear friend of mine after church next month. Have three ovens, two refrigerators and plenty of space in the kitchen. Lots of help too.
Thinking of doing appetizers (I think most will have eaten lunch but want to be prepared for some heavy eaters), punch, mini pastries and cake. I am using your guide lines for amounts.

Here are my thoughts:

30# pulled pork w/ BBQ sauce for sliders (12 sliders per lb with the small cocktail buns from Costco)
240 sandwiches cut into 1/4 pcs
6 25" veges platters (4-5 pcs per person) w/ dip
6 25" fruit platters (5-6 pcs per person 1000 pcs total needed)
240 pcs mini quiche or other tart type food
240 meat balls (10 pounds) in ?????
6 cheese balls with crackers
6 trays of mini pastries (2 per person)
cake and punch

Does this sound right? Too heavy? Too light? Let me know. Karen

We just did my mother's 90th this year. A happy event.

30# pulled pork w/ BBQ sauce for sliders (12 sliders per lb with the small cocktail buns from Costco)
240 sandwiches cut into 1/4 pcs-I would do about 100- or cut the sliders down (many seniors don't care for drippy food) and do all the sandwiches- Another option is the roll up bites instead of sandwiches, 2-3 bites, depends on amount of sliders.
6 25" veges platters (4-5 pcs per person) w/ dip- OK, but you might consider marinated lightly cooked / gardiniera instead or as part- easier t chew.
6 25" fruit platters (5-6 pcs per person 1000 pcs total needed)- OK, you might do some of this yourself, much cheaper
240 pcs mini quiche or other tart type food-OK, check your oven situation
240 meat balls (10 pounds) in ????? 3 quarts sauce. Maybe Swedish style or pineapple teriyaki, since you already have bbq
6 cheese balls with crackers
6 trays of mini pastries (2 per person)- 1 per person fine with cake
cake, full sheet serves 60
punch, 6 gallons per 100

Consider adding decaf coffee with the cake

Hope this reaches you in time

As usual had way too much food but would rather have too much than not enough!!! Pork sliders were such a hit with all. Thank you once again for all the advice and help. Hope others will see how much you give and will donate to the KItchen!!!!
