I'm doing a taco bar for 300 people at a wedding. How much taco meat does an 8 qt. chafer dish hold? Shredded chicken? |

A pound of shredded meat is 2 cups, so 2 pounds per quart, but don't fill the chafers above 7 quarts. For food safety, the chafers MUST be fully preheated before the meat is placed, which takes up to 1/2 hour depending on the heat of water added to the under tray, and do not put the end of one pan on top of the new pan |
