Hi there! I need some help! I am catering my own wedding reception for 120 people and have no idea how much of each thing we need! We are having a Baked Potato Bar! We will have potatoes and for toppings we will have, butter, sour cream, salsa, nacho cheese, shredded cheese, chives, and bacon bits. We also will be having a Smores Bar outside by the bonfire. How many gram crackers, chocolate, and marshmallows do we need? Any help with this is MOST appreciated!
Thank you so much! :) |

Hello, Annie, Potato bar is a good choice, and you have a great deal of planning to do. Please first read the planning article under the button called "wedding dinner", and trust me when I say, you need a committee for a dinner. Have you considered a 1 pm wedding with hor d'oeuvres/ cake/sweets and punch/tea/coffee? It requires about half as many people to prep and is less costly. People like it too, because they can go home without paying for a second night at the hotel. Annie, a bonfire is risky at a wedding if people are dressed up, or have been drinking. There are really good s'more type brownies available, too. Are you planning a meaty dish, bbq, or chili as part of the bar? The amounts of sweets depends on the ages of the guests. When you write back, tell me about your guests. |

There will at least 30 kids out of the 120. Also we will be having chili with the baked potato bar. |
