freezing chocolate dipped cookies

I would like to make sugar cookies, dip them in chocolate, and then freeze the them. I would like to make them ahead about 3-4 days in order to not have so much to do the day of the dinner. Will the chocolate hold up--not crack or lose its shine?
What would be the best approach for a nice finished product?

Thought answered this. You will not be satisfied with the result. Chocolate chips/chunks/sprinkles?
