What's a good way to set up a buffet for a sandwich bar. I was thinking of making a sign telling guests to "Please pick up your sandwich fixing & make your sandwich at your table" I plan to have assorted breads ,shredded lettuce, sliced tomatoes , sliced pickles ,sliced onions, deli meats. Pasta salad , & a condiment platter with assorted pickled veg, |

If you put the condiments and spreads on each table, there will not be a bg hang up at the serving table. Firstpasta salad, next sliced breads and rolls, then meats and fillings, then cheeses, then toppings/veg Have some exra lettuce, as some folks may make a salad instead of a sandwich. |

Thank you ,do you think a separate salad bar would be too much along with the sandwiches? Maybe a green salad with several different toppings? Assorted salad dressings. |

Lanie, can you tell me a little more about the event, for example, if this is 4-6 round or rectangular tables, putting a large salad bowl with tongs ala Olive Garden with several dressings at each table encourages interaction and gives people something to do while waiting for a turn at the buffet. Easier than a salad bar, too! This is not really a large party and you are going to do fine. You can write back. |
