Making mashed potatoes for 100, what are the best kind to buy and how much? |

Idaho/russet/Burbank or Yukon Gold are my favorites, Definitely not red or new. I do about 40 pounds per 100 depending on the menu, the crowd, and what else is being served. There is a good recipe for freezable, holdable mashed potatoes on this site in the Big Pots section. You can write back.
