I am also preparing barbecued shredded pork sandwiches. I plan to be able to serve about 300 sandwiches. How much pork loin should I buy? |

On regular size buns, you will use about 1/2 cup pork and sauce, which means you can make 5 sandwiches per pound of cooked meat. That is about 1 1/4 pounds boneless raw meat. I usually use pork shoulder, fresh ham or Boston butt; the little bit of extra fat seems to me to make a better sandwich. |
