Is anyone using sprouted flour in their baking? I just heard about sprouted grain products and the fact that sprouting a grain changes it from a starch to a vegetable. So if I eat sprouted grain baked goods I'm eating a veggie. It sure makes sense, but want to know if anyone is trying it. Thanks. |

I am diabetic and can tell you that breads made from 100% sprouted grains do not skyrocket my blood sugar like regular bread, rice, or potatoes do. But I buy it frozen, have not tried to make it at home. |

Very interesting about sprouted grains. What brands do you recommend? I've just recently changed to sprouted nuts and found it's helping heal my life long inflamed skin problems, but I would definitley like to know some brands of grains so I can do some baking too. thanks, jeri balco |

I have never seen already sprouted grains for sale, but I have sprouted both wheat and barley successfully- takes a few days, usual twice a day sprouting routine, rinse with water that has been allowed to sit overnight so the chlorine disappears. |
