Sponge cake keeping

05/24/06 		Problem with keeping sponge cake. It can't keep and hardened the next day.
Can I keep a baked sponge cake, not frosted, overnight tightly wrapped kept at room temperature instead of in the fridge? To be creamed the next day at about noon time.

05/24/06 		I have always tried to use it the same day- it really does not keep very well. It will dry less at room temp and if it IS frosted.
