Phyllo pastry sheets

08/09/03 		I wish to know I can make phyllo pastry sheets at home, 'cause they are not available here. If they cannot be made, can you suggest a substitute? Reply to my mailbox also would be greatly appreciated.

10/31/03 		This stuff is qenuinely hard to make by hand, Greek girls spend a lifetime learning, I used to buy it frozen, pack in dry ice, and carry it home to the Arkansas boonies when I was teaching there. I never did find a good substitute, either, though frozen puff pastry from Pepperidge Farm can make a not-too-close stand-in. Sorry! Ellen
