we're having a block party 2p -10p for about 65 adults and 35 kids. how many burgers should we have and we are also having a hot dog cart and are not sure how many hot dogs to buy. The only other things we're providing are sausage and peppers (planning on 20lbs of sausage) and corn on the cob.. planning on 85-90 pieces of corn? please any help you can give is greatly appreciated. |

Jackie are other people bring salads and side dishes? It will have a big impact on the amount of meat you need. Break the whole corn cobs in half and that will be plenty. Allow 1 burger and 1 hot dog per person and you will have plenty. With the sausage and peppers, I would count that as the hot dogs for the grown ups, and get enough regular ones for 1 each for the kids. Some will eat two, but others will eat burgers. With 100 people, you will have some vegetarian folks- consider adding 1 box of veggie burgers to you beef. |

Hot dogs and Brauts I am planning a corporate picnic. Approx 40 adults and 15 children. Everyone will bring a side dish. I figured most people will eat hot dogs so I figure 60 hotdogs and 40 brauts. Do you thinkg this should be enough? |

I would tend to go just the other way, 60-80 brauts and about 40 hot dogs. Maybe it is just local, but around here no grownup offered a choice would pick a hot dog over a braut... Be sure to have sauerkraurt as a topping choice along with the chopped onions, relish, mustard, ketchup and grated cheese. |

going to football game, can u keep hot dogs in buns warm in a crock pot, and if so how....wrapped in tim foil, on a rack or etc. or do u have another suggestion, we can not do a gril or fire. |

Rolls are great in crock pots, covered. If you will be holding for hours, wrap in foil. |
