I got the book vegetarian cookbook, "Simply Heavenly" recently but I haven't really gotten into the "un-meats" yet. I was surprised to see how many recipes call for MSG , what with all the stigma attached to it. I know in the book that they give reassurances of it's safety but I am still a little hesitant about diving into using it. So I would appreciate any opinions or if anyone could point me towards more info on it... Thanks. |

Some people are DEFINITELY sensitive to it, but it has been a universally used condiment in oriental cooking for a thousand years! Omit if you wish, just add a tiny- tiny- pinch of ground red pepper to help sharpen or brighten the flavors. |
