How big of a turkey can I roast in a 16 qt roaster

11/18/06 		I am trying to figure out how many pounds of turkey I can roast in a 16 quart electric roaster. I have 19 1/2 pounds will it fit.? Does anyone have the answer.

11/19/06 		Not whole. An 18 pounder is the largest recommended for even the 18 to 20 quart roasters. It could be quartered, or you can put sides in the roaster and the turkey in the regular oven.
