Hithere, I have been trying to locate a recipe to duplicate some chips that I buy at my local low carb/gluten free store. They are too expensive for me to buy regularly. They are called Millet & Flax Chips & are made by Sami's Bakery in Florida. They have different varieties: plain, garlic & a cinnamon. The ingredients listed are: Millet Flour, brown rice flour, ground flax, salt, olive oil, baking powder & water. They are pretty thin, maybe 1/8" thick and are solid - not bread like. I can't even begin to figure out a recipe - does anyone have any recipe like this?? Thanks bunches! |

Millet & Flax Chips like Sami's Pita Bakery These are made with a batter like a crepe batter which is spread on a pan or griddle, baked, then cut up and crisped either in the oven or by frying- I don't know the particular brand. It is like making your own chips from tortillas. |

Millet & Flax Chips like Sami's Pita Bakery Ellen, do you have a recipe? I'd also like to give it a try. I see that Arrowhead Mills makes both millet and flax flours and just wrote to them to see if they had a recipe. I'll post it if they do. |

Millet & Flax Chips like Sami's Pita Bakery Try any corn tortilla recipe, subbing in flax and soy for part of the corn. |
