Selecting a coil free-standing electric range

We're in the process of purchasing a new range after 30 years using our current one. I'm frustrated to see so many negative reviews on the internet and wonder if anyone knows of a good quality self-cleaning oven with coils, large window oven door, timer & clock that hasn't needed lots of repair or maintenance. And that heats up the oven and coils as quickly as my old oven. And has even heating.

We don't think we want the radiant smooth tops due to problems and we're not about to have a gas line installed just for a stove. We do the majority of our cooking in the microwave.

I am happy to introduce you to epinions.com for help and reviews- you can go there, click on large appliances, then on kitchen ranges, then you can pick element type (coil, flat, etc), oven type, self cleaning etc. Then you can read reviews from real people about their ovens. This may help you make your decision.

Also, do look at the reviews in consumer report.

If you live in an area of power outages, you might think about putting in that gas line...
