Ellen - Pleas help! I have bought several books, and have searched several sites...problem is, they all say, "if serving multiple items, adjust amounts accordingly". Well, I don't want to adjust on the low side and be embarrassed. We will be having a reception through dinner time (5:30 - 8:30 p.m.) for 150 (inviting more, expect 150 to show) - buffet style. We are planning to have the following items (many purchased frozen, so prep. isn't a problem, it is the amounts that we are worried about). Is this enough? Should we leave something off? Would you consider these "crowd pleasers"? sliced ham and turkey (deli style) and breads meatballs in sauce pigs in blanket with mustard pinwheels (soft tortilla shells w/meat,cheese) coctail weiners in sauce boiled shrimp salmon spread with crackers veg. trays with dip fruit trays with dip spinach dip green pea salad pasta salad ambrosia salad mini eclairs mini cream puffs wedding cake/grooms cake lemonade tea Can you help us know how much of each item? I have been reading your site, and you are awesome. Thanks! |

Ellen, THANKS so much for working on this...I went all the way down to the bottom on every page...it doesn't show an address to email you at. If you will email me at jcrisp@accessatc.net, I can respond that way. THANKS again, and God bless you. Your site is the BEST. I have probably used a cartridge already printing so many of your forums! |

Ellen, these are the tentative amounts I have arrived at...can you tell me if I am in the ball park?
sliced deli ham - 20 lbs (various breads) Remember, this will be for a buffet that will be through dinner time (expecting 150 guests). Again, if there is anything I should omit, please let me know...I also don't know if I need pasta salad, and if so, how much. If there is something I should exchange for it, please let me know that as well. |
