Corningware -blue cornflower

I read the threads on the visionware (glass) pots warnings and do not want to buy them.

What about the Corningware opaque white stovetop pieces with the blue cornflower design on the side. (discontinued but available on ebay.)

Are they safe to use or do they have exploding issues also? Thank you.

02/12/07 		Have never seen any info on problems, but many of these are oven only, not stovetop. Check carefully.

Corning customer service said the older discontinued pieces will say "Range or Oven" on the bottom. The French White corning pieces sold in the stores currently are not for stovetop.

Has anyone heard any health reason NOT to use the older ones. (ie leaching, etc.)
