Ceramic stove: pan stuck to it.

02/17/07 		I was heating food in a pan and the stove was set on high too long. The pan is coated with what looks like paint, and the pan stuck to the stove. So when I pulled the pan off, some paint - and some of the next layer - stuck to the stove.
I wanted to get some advice before I try to remove the paint.

02/20/07 		That is not paint it is ceramic enamel and yu may end up replacing the glass top. Sorry!

03/26/07 		try heating the burn up to temp and then take a stiff putty and light hammer and tap tween the stove and top and whats stuck to it ... u probably turn the burner off then removed it when cool. if that doesnt work dont replace the glass top get a stove with regular burners on it ... so it wont happen again
