We are having a salad supper for our Mothers Day banquet at church. We will prepare for 125. We plan on having around 8-10 salads prepared. How much of each should we plan on making. |

Use the salad section of the plan for 100 page. Make a total of enough for 150 people- when there are many choices people eat more. You will want at least 3 gallons of the potato salads- see my great potato salad recipes and hints on the mac, slaw and potato salad pages in big pots. |

Soup and Salad I am hosting a small luncheon for 5 people and planning on serving soup and salad. Which do I serve first - the soup or the salad?? |

You have 3 pleasant options; European style is salad second, American style is salad first, and lunch style is both on the table at once- such as salad at the place and your tureen or crockpot of soup on the table or a side table. I like the third, it allows me to stay at the table with my friends, |

Salad for 125 I am hosting a reception for 125 people. We have pork, beans, pasta salad fruit kabobs, tossed salad and bread. How many lbs. of each, pasta salad and lettuce salad will I need? |

Nancy, all these are already covered on the plan for 100 page, and the fruit tray page. You use 1 1/4 (regular easters) to 1 1/3 (heavy eaters) the amount for 100. Post an estimate and I will be glad to check it for you. |
