I over cooked a beef roast on the grill. Wondering if there are any fixes, such as covering with liquid and slow cooking to cause it to become moist and fall apart? Or to make it less tough? Thanks for any suggestions (cuz it's not the first time I've done it!). |

Hi, Lee, This is a pretty expensive bad habit. If you will let your charcoal heat longer and then make a single layer, then keep the grill higher, it will help. Many roasts don't do well on the grill and if tough need longer slower cooking- be sure to select the right roast for grilling. I would put it in a crock pot or slow cooker with canned beef broth, cook on low 4-6 hours until it shreds. Or grind the cooked meat and make roast beef hash. It will not get moister- the juice is all cooked out- but it can get tender and gravy covers many sins. |
