Store herb blends in a dark, cool, dry place up to six months. Because light and heat weaken spice flavors, it's better not to display seasonings on open racks above or near cook tops or ovens. Store seldom-used seasonings in the freezer to maintain freshness.
1 pound iodized salt
3 tablespoons black pepper
2 tablespoons garlic powder
1 tablespoon onion powder
1 tablespoon nutmeg
2 tablespoons parsley flakes, crushed
4 tablespoons red pepper or cayenne, ground
2 tablespoons chili powder
Combine all ingredients, store in an airtight container.

Generic Taco Seasoning Mix, single serving

1 tablespoon minced dried onion
2 teaspoons Mild Chili Powder
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
1/2-1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon cornstarch
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1/2 teaspoon oregano
1/2 to 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper or hot paprika
1/4 teaspoon sugar (optional, used in the commercial mixes)
Put the onions in a small bowl or cup. Add the spices one at a time, stirring well. Stir to blend.

1 tablespoon dried oregano
1 tablespoon dried rosemary
1 tablespoon dried marjoram
1 tablespoon dried basil
1 tablespoon dried parsley flakes
Crush or chop the rosemary,combine all ingredients; store in an airtight container. Use with eggs, to season fish, vegetables, or chicken. Some folks add: 2 tablespoons rubbed sage
