Wedding Reception for 300 people
Shana Moore

Hi Ellen-
I am making all our own food for our wedding that is just around the corner. I plan on serving warm sliced ham, pulled BBQ beef, dinner rolls, whole-kernal corn, pasta salad, cole slaw, and a veggie tray. This is a buffet style wedding and I was just wondering how much of each would I need. I have 300 people attending and also would like to put out a midnight lunch. Thanks for your help!

Hi, Shana,
When you do beef and a second meat, you need to end up with 5 ounces ready to eat beef (1 pound for each 3) PLUS 3 ounces ready to eat 2nd meat (1 pound for each 5)for every single person.
Everything else is covered on the plan for 100 pages and the sandwich event page for rolls and condiments. Consider a big bowl of egg salad or another meatless fishless sandwich filling for the non-meat eating guests.
You might consider a baked potato bar or possible a nacho or taco bar for the midnight si\upper. Pretty easy to put together, not too expensive, and popular.
