Beef on Weck for 150 Peopl
I am having a wedding reception of approx. 150 people and we are serving Beef on Weck, salt potatoes and rigatoni. Approx how much beef? Potatoes? and Rigatoni?
It depends on whether it is plated or buffet service. You need about 45 pounds ready to eat beef; 50 of potatoes; 12-14 pounds dry pasta (12-14 9x13 dishes cooked). Add about 10% if it is self serve.
The beef is the only meat that will be served as a buffet style dinner reception. Are you sure that'll be enough?
OK. The most you would need, an that is everyone eats lots (with just a big meat serving and no bread) and you do not use a person to serve the meat, is about 70 pounds cooked. So you can decide where between the two amounts you want to land.
