10- yr. old Nesco air bake roaster oven (4146-14)

I was given the above by my daughter and there are two parts to it that I cannot figure out how to attach. It is a separate fan and a small metal part. Can anyone tell me how to clip this fan on and is it for air broiling or what. Nothing in the cookbook explains it.

What size is the roaster? The airbakes were discontinued because the lids were clunky, but they make great roasty things and brown quite a bit better than the standard Nesco roaster. I have the 6 quart convection/airbake, and can look something up if that is the same one you have.

Although Nesco no longer lists the manuals on their site, they do still sell the roast-air cookbook. The roast-airs are still available in Canada...
