I am making pulled pork and pulled chicken sandwiches for a casual reception. I am expecting aroung 100 people (but up to 150 max)and have purchased 30lbs of meat total (15 lbs of each). Is this enough meat? Also, I wanted to make sliders so that the meat would go further. How many slider buns do I need?

I would make at least 20 pounds of pork, more likely 25 unless it was mostly kids or ladies. At least 3 buns per person, 4 if they are the really small ones.

With less meat, you need heavy sides- potato and pasta salad, for example, and slaw or green salad, and beans.

I do have one more question. Do you have any suggestions as to where I might get the best deal on slider buns? I have looked at some bakery outlets and Sam's Club.

No, I don't know your region. Just get good, fresh ones- bread matters.
