Hello I am new to this site, my friend wants to feed 150 people. One of our friends is barbecuing some chicken and doing pulled pork. They want me to make tossed green salad, orzo salad and fruit salad. I am not sure how much food to buy . I also thought maybe I should use macaroni or another pasta instead of orzo, and should I do fruit platters instead of fruit salad.

tossed green salad, use the plan for 100 table, do 1 1/2, includes advice on dressings

orzo salad; yes bowties or penne would be a better choice, 9 pounds dry pasta, 10 if a very hungry crowd.

fruit salad; yes, trays are a much better choice, see the fruit tray page, for example, deluxe tray for 100 plus additional for 25 would be about right.
