Caprese Salad Help
I am making a caprese salad for 300 people for a fundraiser. How many pounds of tomatoes and mozzarella should I get?
A usual estimate is a pound of slicing tomatoes and a pound of sliced fresh mozzarella plus a half cup of fresh basil for each 4-6 people. You might find grape or cherry tomatoes and the little round mozzarella balls an easier serve in buffet service.
It also depends on what else is served, whether it is plated or self serve.
